Why are we here?

The House of the Path Spiritist Centre was founded by a group of people who migrated from Brazil to Canberra in the early 2000s. Many were already connected to Spiritist communities in Brazil and felt the need to continue practising and sharing this philosophy in Australia.

This shared vision led to the establishment of one of Australia’s first Spiritist Centres in 2002. Our early public sessions began in Gold Creek with a small group, and over time our community grew as more people joined, learned, and shared this journey. Some members later moved to other regions, carrying with them the seeds of hope and Spiritist values they nurtured here.

We are a 100% volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation. Everything we do is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers and the support of our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of the House of the Path throughout the years.
